Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical)

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (including shift allowance)

Schedule: 4 on 4 off days and nights (6:00-18:00 and 18:00-6:00)

As our client continues to grow, they are seeking a talented Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer with both electrical and mechanical expertise to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, maintaining equipment, and performing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Carrying out planned maintenance activities according to schedules to prevent breakdowns.
• Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and performing necessary repairs to minimize production interruptions.
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to improve processes and optimize equipment performance.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Documenting maintenance activities, including work carried out and parts used, accurately in maintenance logs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Providing training and support to other team members as needed.

Requirements:

• Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including days and nights, as required.
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
