Job Title: Shift Mechanical Engineer


The shift rota is 2 days on 2 nights on followed by 4 days off on 12 hours shifts.


Salary up to £39,000 including shift allowance.


General Overview:

  • Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems (essential)
  • Experience with Commercial Hot and Cold-water Systems (essential)
  • Approved apprenticeship in Plumbing/Mechanical or relevant practical experience (essential)
  • Proficient in risk assessment and safe equipment operation.
  • Proficient in Health & Safety standards including ISO 9001 & 14,001.


Responsibilities:

  • Working to a high standard of Building Maintenance
  • Work on their own initiative or within a team environment
  • Produce high quality reports of their findings along with estimates, for producing quotations.
  • Good communication skills to discuss be able to findings with others.
  • Required to undertake general plumbing tasks as part of the role and general mechanical tasks
  • Carry out Maintenance and Reactive Calls
  • Ensure completion of all scheduled maintenance and contract SLA’s.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance tasks within contract SLA’s.
  • Ability to measure, interpret plans, read technical diagrams, and effectively communicate technical information.


Qualifications or Required Experience:

  • City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2&3 plumbing
  • Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems is essential.
  • Approved and formal apprenticeship served in Plumbing/Mechanical or relevant and practical experience within a similar industry
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety including ISO 9001 & 14,001
