Multi Skilled Engineer - HVAC bias
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with an HVAC bias to maintain and repair operational equipment within high street retail stores. This role requires a high standard of service delivery, ensuring all client queries are addressed, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and compliance works are completed, and the client is kept fully informed on site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair HVAC and other operational equipment across retail sites, ensuring smooth operations.
- Oversee PPM and compliance works, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations.
- Assist contractors and subcontractors, monitoring work for compliance with legal and contractual standards.
- Complete all work-related documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
- Provide proactive support with a flexible approach to working hours and duties, prioritizing tasks effectively while assisting other engineers and staff as needed.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities management role, with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with strong communication skills to manage client interactions.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and building statutory compliance, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
- Ability to carry tools and equipment by hand (up to 20kg), ascend/descend vertical access equipment, and work at heights.
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to join a call-out rota.
