Food Pricer – Commercial Sector | Major Facilities Management Company
As a Food Pricer, you will be an integral part of the commercial pricing team within a leading facilities management company. You will lead the pricing of food services across various brands, from mid-range to high-end, ensuring the creation of competitive, commercially viable solutions that align with client needs and industry standards. This role involves working within tight timelines to accurately cost food services for the private sector, focusing on hospitality offerings and diverse food brands.
The Food Pricer will be expected to:
- Price commercial food deals swiftly and precisely across multiple brands, including high-end offerings.
- Navigate and adhere to regulatory guidelines, client requirements, and industry best practices.
- Act as a key contributor to high-value bids, offering robust, competitive food costing strategies that support overall growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Bid Pricing & Development
- Work collaboratively with Business Development Managers and Directors to define bid strategy for complex or high-priority projects.
- Lead food pricing for both new and retained contracts, from initial costing through to final submission, focusing on areas such as labor, menu mix, brand positioning, and rostering to ensure effective, profitable solutions.
- Support pricing for mobilization and transition phases, accurately anticipating investment needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Negotiation
- Coordinate with key stakeholders (central and operational levels) to ensure alignment with client expectations, providing insights into food cost and pricing strategies.
- Present costed solutions, including key assumptions and pricing methodology, both internally and to clients, clearly articulating value propositions and benefits.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify risks and opportunities related to food pricing on commercial deals, developing commercial assumptions that align with company policies and client requirements.
- Maintain adherence to pricing models and continuously improve tools and processes for precision and efficiency.
- Ensure internal governance requirements are met, collaborating with the Finance Business Partner to secure necessary approvals.
- Client-Focused Innovation
- Drive the creation of tailored food pricing solutions that are sustainable, competitive, and meet client specifications, leveraging industry insights and trends.
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build innovative solutions that align with company goals and client preferences, maximizing contract profitability and client satisfaction.

- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of food costing in the commercial sector, including experience with high-end and multi-brand food pricing.
