Multi Skilled Engineer - Fabric Bias
We are seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Engineer or Fabric Engineer to join our facilities support team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing a range of building fabric maintenance and repair services, working across a diverse set of clients, industries, and sectors
Key Responsibilities:
- Building Fabric Maintenance: Perform a variety of repair tasks, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, flooring repairs, and patching
- Client Communication: Keep clients informed on maintenance progress, updating them on any developments and ensuring a high level of customer service
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record all activities, remedial works, and inspection logs, ensuring updates are logged through our IT system
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and be prepared for some manual handling, working at heights, and working in confined spaces
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in Building Services: Ideally, experience in the building services sector or a similar field, with basic skills in carpentry, electrical, or plumbing work
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using IT for recording tasks and updates
- Physical Fitness: Physically fit to manage tasks involving manual handling and work in various environments
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective interaction with clients and colleagues
Desirable Qualities:
- Facilities Management Background: Prior experience in facilities management, ideally with a trade qualification or apprenticeship
- Supervisory Experience: Experience in a supervisory role is desirable but not essential
