We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst (Interim) to join our client’s team. This role will support key data initiatives, including the development of ETL processes, improving data hygiene, and driving performance across various business streams. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to provide actionable insights and ensure all activities align with the overall data strategy and business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse data and prepare reports to enhance ETL processes, focusing on reducing technical debt and improving automation and data hygiene.
  • Assist the Data Strategy Manager in the continuous development of the Data Warehouse framework to ensure current contract support and readiness for future business needs.
  • Conduct evaluations to measure the effectiveness and success of key programmes and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operational Leaders to support reporting systems and monitor performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical insights during client-facing calls to support the Data Strategy Manager.
  • Interpret data and provide high-level insights to inform decision-making and enhance the Data Warehouse framework.
  • Identify and define process improvement opportunities through collaborative work with colleagues.
  • Support colleagues in understanding and using operational systems and reports effectively.
  • Document all processes, activities, and projects within the Data Team to ensure clarity and continuity.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Data Strategy, Data Quality, and technical standards of the business.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with the Data Governance Policy and relevant internal and external standards and regulations.

Skills and Knowledge

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Google BigQuery, Looker, and other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools.
  • Proven ability to transform raw data into actionable reports and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience communicating complex data insights to support strategic and contractual goals.
  • Advanced Power BI skills, including data transformation with Power Query and DAX.
  • Solid IT skills, with the ability to work with complex systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and compliance requirements.
  • Skilled in analysing data to identify key exceptions or areas for attention.
