Competent Person
The Site Competent Person will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Substations. Key responsibilities include fulfilling the site requirement of Competent Person, receiving and administering permits on behalf of the client, and supporting the management team in day-to-day operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the Competent Person for Substations to ensure compliance with site safety and operational requirements.
- Receive, administer, and manage permits to work on behalf of the Facilities Management client.
- Provide direct assistance to the MC management team, contributing to smooth project execution.
- Ensure all activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with site teams to resolve issues and maintain high standards of operational performance.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid certificates and qualifications required for the role (negotiable pay rates based on certification level).
- Experience working in a similar role within the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Strong understanding of National Grid ET Substation safety and operational protocols.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

There are 5 positions available for an initial 3 month contract, inside IR35.
