Quantity Surevyor
We are working with a major leader in critical infrastructure delivery who is seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to support our client’s commercial position by developing and applying in-depth knowledge of contractual, commercial, insurance, and legal processes related to contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in safeguarding the company’s commercial interests by developing a strong understanding of the contractual, commercial, insurance, and legal processes associated with contracts.
- Report to the Project Manager or Commercial Manager regarding relevant commercial aspects of a specific section of a project.
- Apply extensive knowledge and experience in contractual, commercial, insurance, and legal matters.
- Effectively manage client relationships, ensuring smooth commercial progression of contracts.
- Maintain a high level of commercial and technical expertise, collaborating with the delivery team to develop solutions that align with business and customer needs.
- Prepare subcontract invitations to tender, evaluate tender returns, and make recommendations for appointments, ensuring subcontracts are placed accurately and on time.
Essential Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civils or infrastructure projects.
This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the commercial and technical aspects of projects, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven ability to work effectively within a team.
